Santa Rosa Island Authority Unveils New and
Improved Website for Enhanced Public Engagement

Pensacola Beach, FL – (February 28, 2024) – The Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) announces the launch of its newly-redesigned website, sria-fla.com, which guarantees a more seamless and user-friendly experience. The revamped website offers enhanced features and functionalities to provide more convenience and better serve the community.

“A new website was one of my initial goals and has been a long time coming.  The new and improved features will greatly assist our residents, community members and leaseholders to engage with us more effectively,” said Leigh Davis, Executive Director of the SRIA.

The most notable addition is the website now allows leaseholders to make secure, on-line lease payments using credit cards or ACH. No longer will there be a need to mail checks or make special trips to the SRIA office. Users can now manage their accounts hassle-free from anywhere.

Another new feature is the availability of audio recordings of SRIA meetings, offering transparency and accessibility to those unable to attend in person. This new solution reflects SRIA’s commitment to providing open communication with the public.

Additionally, navigating through documents, forms, agendas, and minutes is now more straightforward with improved search capabilities and organized categories. Users will find it easier than ever to locate essential information.

Along with the website upgrades, the SRIA is also pleased to announce that credit card payments will soon be accepted  at the front desk and at Bands on the Beach, further expanding payment options and accommodating diverse preferences.

“We look forward to the positive impact this initiative will have on our community,” said Davis. “We encourage residents, visitors, and leaseholders to explore the new site and provide feedback as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.”

Pensacola Beach is owned by Escambia County, Fla., and is under the direction of the Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA). The SRIA was created by the Florida legislature in 1947 under Chapter 24500. The SRIA does not receive tax support from the taxpayers of the county. It is fully funded from lease fees collected from business and residences on the beach. The SRIA board is made up of six members; five are named by members of the Escambia County Board of Commissioners whose term is the same as the commissioner who appointed them. Registered voters on Pensacola Beach elect the sixth member. The elected member’s term is two years.
