Pensacola, Fla. – (March XX, 2022) – The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation and STARBASE Pensacola are excited to partner with the Girl Scouts Gateway Council to present Fly Girls! Girl Scout Day on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon in the National Naval Aviation Museum atrium.

This STEM-based educational event is targeted for actively-registered Girl Scouts, levels Brownie and Junior, and will feature a fun-filled day with appearances by Amelia Earhart and a surprise guest. Girl Scout participants will have opportunities to earn either a Fling Flyer Badge or a Balloon Car Badge and will enjoy a history tour lead by former Girl Scout and National Naval Aviation Museum curator, Dina Linn.
Fly Girls! Girl Scout Day is limited to 25 Girl Scouts per badge. All participants must register with the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council here. Registration deadline is midnight, March 21. Parents and siblings are welcomed to stay and tour the National Naval Aviation Museum, but the event will be geared strictly for Girl Scouts in 2nd to 5th grade levels.

NAS Pensacola is limited to current Department of Defense (DoD) ID card holders (active duty service members, retirees, and their families) and Veterans who possess a Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC) from the Department of Veterans Affairs that displays the Veteran’s eligibility status.
