Pensacola Interstate Fair Hiring State Officers to Provide Security at the Fair

October 3, 2017 –Pensacola Beach, Fl—The Pensacola Interstate Fair wants to reiterate to the public that there WILL BE SECURITY at the 2017 fair and assure fairgoers that there are NO NEW AGE REQUIREMENTS for those 18 years of age and younger. Any information that states otherwise is false and should be disregarded.

“The safety of our fairgoers is always our top concern and we take nothing more seriously,” said Don Frenkel, Pensacola Interstate Fair General Manager.

The Pensacola Interstate Fair has hired state law enforcement officers to work the full 11 days of the 2017 Fair, October 19-29. These officers have full law enforcement powers granted to other peace offices of the state.

“We want to assure fair attendees that they can enjoy the Fair, knowing they are in a safe and secure environment at all times,” furthered Frenkel.

Security for The Pensacola Interstate Fair is funded from the Fair and not taxpayer dollars.

“We are spending approximately $140,000 this year to ensure order and safety at the Fair and will continue to do so,” said Felecia Chivington, assistant manager of the Fair.

The Pensacola Interstate Fair invites the public to come out and have a great time!
